Blue Bell Fun Run 2011

A fun Saturday it was heading up to Brenham,TX for the annual Blue Bell Fun Run. We woke up early and were out the door before 6:30 a.m.. Mom once again stepped in to the rescue and had Shayla spend the night so we could take the rest of the crew to run our little hearts out.

"Miss GG" (Jada's Grandma) was super nice and let Saryn run along with them. She also was so kind to take on my 3 kids (along with her 4 grandkids) so Jeff and I could run. Really so nice!

I was so proud of these kids. It was so fun to let them work for something and then see them finish strong. They were so excited to get their medals!

Syd's : 8.11

Spencer: 8.56

Thought I could look it up, but I can't seem to find hers.

So many fun friends who participated.

I ran the 5K with these ladies. (Nicole, me, Sunnie and Candace).

My Time: 28.22

I started off running with Sunnie, but the very last stretch her little legs kept going and I had to take it a bit slower singing "I think I can" to myself. : )

Jeff ran the 10K

His time: 53.59

And the best part of the morning was all you can eat ice cream bars afterwards! I think my kids had at least 5 each. Those great divide ice cream bars are something special. You should try one!

The Orange Bear we were trying to figure out who he belonged to. The Brenham High School Mascot? Just someone who had a costume in his closet and wanted to show up for some pictures and ice cream for the day? Associated with H.E.B? Hmmm...still wondering.
